Late last year I was fortunate enough to work on my first short film in London. The film is called “Forgive” and it follows a tragic story of a family torn apart by not just cancer, but a startling deathbed confession.
With its focus around the strong and very musical emotions of love, grief and death, this was a fantastic way to start my composing career in London. The music you hear over the trailer comes from the opening minutes of the film, it is a string piece with hints of Barber’s Adagio for Strings, and is expressing the yearning of the wife’s soul seeking forgiveness before it departs her body.
I’m very proud of my work on this film and hope that it is the start of more great projects here in London.
Exciting as it was to work on the film, I am even more happy to announce that it is opening the Beverly Hills Film Festival today!
Best of luck for director Laith Sami, who is representing the film over in LA. It was a pleasure to work with him on this project. If anyone does get a chance to see this film I urge you to do so, it’s a great, if brief, story and there are some truly phenomenal performances, especially from the actress Sara Ballesteros..
